November 4, 2001 – Rock the Carbs Pasta Dinner – $9,700 raised!
On the evening before Savannah’s inaugural Rock n’ Roll half/full marathon, Liam’s Land served over 500 plates of delicious pasta all for LM research. The pasta dinner raised close to $10,000 which will be given out in April of 2012 to our 1st medical research grant. The success of this dinner could not have been done without the help of many volunteers, board members, chefs, and sponsors. Many thanks to our title sponsor, The Crab Shack; to our patrons – Savannah Vascular and Cardiac Institute, WTOC, Coke Cola, Feed the Hungry, Kennickell Group, Quality Rock, OptimHealthcare, Spine and Sport, Thrive, The Rail Pub, Farmbag, Savannah Menu, and Seacrest Partners; and to our chefs – Steve Howard, Eric Lyons, John Mason, and Jason Sapp.
November 5, 2011 – Savannah Rock n’ Roll Half/Full Marathon and TEAM – $11,278 raised!
Twenty two runners took the the Savannah streets dedicating their training and raising awareness for lymphatic malformation research. They wrote letters to their network of people telling them about LM, hosted fundraisers, and more. During the marathon, they wore TEAM LM performance shirts, LLO visors and tattoos, and dedicated each mile to a different LM person. Now, anyone…anywhere can train for a race of their choice, raise money, and be part of Team LM!
