Janet Steffen – Founder and Executive Director
Janet holds a bachelors degree in business administration and finance from Georgetown College and her nursing degree from Eastern Kentucky University. She has practiced cardiac and vascular nursing since 1993. Janet is a sustaining member of the Savannah Junior League. She has been a past board member of the local American Diabetes Association. In 2004, she was named one of the “40 under 40″ business leaders in Savannah. She has served on the Telfair Museum Gala committee in 2003, the Starfish Cafe Gala committee from 2005- present, and co-chaired the Memorial Health Heart and Vascular Gala in 2005. She was appointed by Savannah City Council in 2005 til March 2011 to serve as a commissioner on the Savannah Department of Cultural Affairs. In May 2011, Janet was named one of the “Top 10 Working Women” in Savannah by AWWIN, Organization.
Sandi Roth - Chief Financial Officer
Sandi Roth is the Vice President of Accounting and Human Resources for the Clinical Trial Service Group, a segment within Cross Country Healthcare, Inc. She is a graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology. Sandi enjoys working in the community. She has been a past President of the Savannah Jaycees and has served on the Board of Governors for First City Club of Savannah. In addition to volunteering with Liam’s Land, Sandi currently serves as President of the Friends of Oatland Island, Inc.
Joseph J. Steffen, Jr., Esq. - Executive Legal Council
Joe currently serves as Director of Legal and Governmental Affairs at the Savannah State University. He is a Cum Laude graduate from Wake Forest University with a B.A. in history and earned his law degree from the College of William and Mary. He served two terms as the youngest city council member in Galax, Virginia. He has served as Chairman of the Historic Savannah Review Board,the Board of Governors of First City Club of Savannah and is currently the Chair of the Chatham County Elections Board. His other board appointments include Frank Callen Boys and Girls Club, King-Tisdell Foundation, CASA, and Leadership Savannah. He has taught at the university level and is a frequent lecturer, public speaker and radio and TV commentator.
Jason Sapp – Executive Director of Team LM
Jason is currently a self-employed entrepreneur with a passion for running. His diverse background includes customer relations management, operations management, human resources management, systems administration, and safety policy development/compliance administration for a large corporate entity. More recently he has worked at Union Mission, a local non-profit, and coached various running groups in the low country. He enjoys working in the community and promoting a healthy lifestyle through healthy eating and exercise. He has attended Armstrong Atlantic State University and Valdosta State University.
